Hey I am Thomas, I am 18 and I am living in the Hills at the moment. Despite to playing in a concert band for brass and woodwind with rather a few young people it would be great to see something in this area happening. So what about a kind of group where all different kinds of instruments get together and people with different musical interests can have a go? I am sure it would be very interesting to see various instruments and styles meeting each other.
Moreover, I can imagine that this type of musical gathering would be a good possibility for further things referring to this group. Why do not add songwriters or people who like to sing to the music group and start to create a whole music project where everyone, the musicians, writers and singers, work out different songs or pieces, so that everyone could bring in what he or she likes?!!
So, in my mind a kind of music project would be a great thing to connect people with musical interests and you can always involve people from other creative fields into it to get a great output from this kind of thing.

Hi Thomas, this sounds like a fantastic idea!

I love the idea of combining a range of instruments and playing with the new sounds that it creates. And to bring in songwriters would be really good as well. If you know of anyone that might be interested why don’t you direct them to this blog and maybe we can all discuss the possibilities and get a little musicial network happening!
